Hand-on Workshops at Bootsy Garden
Workshops at Bootsy Garden are built on real experience, education, and mentorship. As an Oregon state-certified teacher, I combine structured instruction with years of hands-on learning gained through research, on-farm practice, and working directly with my own Nigerian Dwarf goat herd.
My background includes working in veterinary medicine, from wildlife care at Texas Wildlife Rescue in Houston to serving as a surgery technician at a veterinary hospital in Portland, Oregon. These experiences shaped how I approach animal care, health, and handling with both confidence and respect. I have also been fortunate to learn from incredible mentors throughout my journey, including Westi at Twin Pears Farm, Karen Lewis of Frozen Assets, and Alex and Duva of Oak Apple Farm. These classes are designed to pass that knowledge forward through clear instruction, hands-on practice, and practical skills you can use immediately on your own farm. Bootsy Garden workshops are weekend-only, in-person learning experiences focused on goat breeding, milking, milk processing, basic care, and showing fundamentals for goat owners who want real knowledge, not guesswork.
We can’t wait to meet you!
