Ingredients
Penne pasta
Classico Roasted Garlic Alfredo Sauce
1 package Hillshire Farm Turkey Smoked Sausage, 13 ounces, sliced
Raw peeled and deveined shrimp, thawed
Mushrooms, sliced
Garlic, minced
Green onion whites, chopped
1 beefsteak tomato, chopped
Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce
Fresh spinach
Instructions
Chop your sausage into coin-sized rounds, and chop your green onions starting at the root ball; be sure to clean and dispose of the small roots. Slide your mushrooms if they’re not already.
Get both pans going. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook the pasta alongside the sausage mixture. Add the penne to the boiling water and cook according to package directions while you prepare the sausage mixture.
Create the sausage mixture. Add the chopped sausage, pre-sliced mushrooms, garlic, and chopped green onion whites to a large skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently and adjusting the heat to keep the garlic from burning.
Chop and add the tomato. While the sausage mixture cooks, chop the tomato and add it to the skillet as soon as you finish chopping. Continue cooking until the sausage is browned and the mushrooms have softened.
Add the peppers. Make a space in the middle of the skillet and add the Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce. Let everything simmer together for about 5 minutes. Don't move the peppers around unless you want it very spicy.
Remove the peppers, then add shrimp and spinach. Take out the peppers before adding the shrimp and spinach. Cook for the final 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through and the spinach has wilted.
Combine and serve. Drain the cooked pasta and return it to the pot. Stir in the Alfredo sauce, then add the entire skillet of shrimp, sausage, vegetables, and pan juices. Toss until combined and heat gently as needed.
Serve with garlic bread and enjoy!
